Story of K-PACT Ministry in Indonesia
K-PACT’s ministry in Indonesia began in 2005 as a response to the
devastating December 2004 tsunami in South Asia. At that time, we didn’t
have a clear plan only a strong conviction to follow God’s calling into
Indonesia.
In the early days, we partnered with a local Baptist mission organization in
Kupang to serve meals to children in various neighborhoods. Three years
later, God opened the door for us to build our first Christian Center in
Kupang. Around this time, we received a powerful vision from the Lord:
“Indonesia for God’s Glory.” This meant sharing the Gospel throughout the
entire nation. To pursue this vision, we formed a strategy to establish seven
ministry centers across Indonesia. With this renewed calling, God began
sending ministry partners from around the world including Hong Kong,
China, Taiwan, USA, Canada, Sweden, Norway, and Panama.
We are grateful that K-PACT is now officially registered in Indonesia as K-
PACT Nusantara, with 10 board members, the majority of whom are
dedicated local Indonesian Christians.
Today, after nearly 20 years of ministry, we thank God for allowing us to
have established five ministry centers in Kupang, Semarang, Malang,
Batang Tarang, and Nias. By His grace, our next steps include building the
Manado Christian Center and the Papua Christian Center.
Looking ahead, our prayer is that by 2027, all seven ministry centers will be
completed. Each center will focus on three core ministry areas: Community
Service, Christian Education, and Mission Mobilization.
All glory to God for what He has done and for what He will continue to do
through K-PACT Nusantara in Indonesia.
