Batang Tarang Christian Center

We are pleased to welcome you to the latest edition of the Batang Tarang Christian Center (BTCC) newsletter. In this edition, we bring you a variety of interesting and inspiring information that will accompany your days from June to August 2025

Our children are being dominated by the digital world, but who's filling their souls? Amidst the onslaught of technology-with screens, YouTube, TikTok, and attention grabbing games-our children are missing something very important: the gentle voice of God's word. Children as young as elementary school now know more game characters than Bible characters. They memorize viral songs faster than Sunday school songs. Then we ask: who will instill eternal values into their lives, if not us? Sunday School Teachers and Christian Preschool Teachers are Ministers of Little Souls Children don't just need entertainment, they need love, guidance, and spiritual examples. Sunday school and Christian preschool teachers are not just nurturers or teachers, but sowers of the seeds of faith. But the seeds of faith cannot be sown lightly. Training, equipping, and renewal of spirit are needed so that teachers are ready to face today's children with relevant strategies and a loving heart. Cellphones Give Information, But Only Teachers Have a Touch of Love Technology does teach many things. But it cannot replace a teacher's hug, a prayer together, a gentle greeting, or a heartfelt lesson. Only teachers can make children feel "known and loved". And for that, they must be equipped-because this task is heavy and noble. If We Don't Act Now, We're Losing a Generation 3 In the next decade, these children will grow into teenagers and adults. If from a young age they are only given screens without the love of Christ, who will shape their values? If churches and Christian preschools are not investing in the teachers who serve them today, then we are allowing this generation to be shaped by the world, not by God. The training was attended by 100 participants from among Christian ECD Teachers, Sunday School Teachers and Pastors.

The atmosphere of togetherness was further enhanced through spiritual games, group discussions, Bible meditations, and evening services that were filled with joy 12 and deep spiritual experiences. The students not only received the teaching of God's word, but also learned to apply it in their daily lives, whether in school, family, or social life. This Bible Camp became a valuable momentum for all participants to strengthen their faith, character, and spirit of togetherness, while strengthening the spiritual brotherhood relationship between Batang Tarang School of Grace and Yan Fook Church Hong Kong
